Lancome Grandiose Mascara

I've been using this mascara on a fairly regular basis since it first came out a couple of years ago, and I do absolutely love it because in my opinion my lashes are short, straight and not voluminous in any way. The Lancome GRANDIOSE mascara is quite pricey: $32 at Sephora. Now, I didn't pay full price for this product because for a short time I was working retail at a local Nordstrom. My discount at the time made it a more justifiable purchase, and I actually still have one more full size back-up that I haven't opened up since I purchased it a year ago because I now consider it my "very special occasion" mascara. I also use it with Lancome's CILS Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base so the combination really makes my eyelashes long, thick and voluminous.

The only reason I will probably not re-purchase this product is because of the price, and I am on very strict beauty budget these days which is why I have been loving some of the inexpensive subscription boxes since I really do tend to use everything that is sent to me. However, I do use a drugstore mascara product that is very similar but just takes a bit more time and a few more coats to achieve a similar look. That product is Cover Girl's The Super Sizer Mascara. Wet 'n Wild also has a fairly new product called Photo Focus Lash Primer that honestly works the same for me as the Lancome lash primer. The combination of these 2 drugstore products also gives my eyelashes a lot more length, volume and thickness. So...even though they are not absolute dupes in any way, I am able to get the desired results using the less expensive products.
